Administrative Program Specialist
Dr. Paula A. White is Project Manager of the Study of Iowa High Schools (SIHS) at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. The study is funded by the Institute for Education Sciences (IES) and involves a research partnership among the Iowa Department of Education, the Center for Authentic Intellectual Work, the Northwest Area Education Agency, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The key mission of the SIHS project is an evaluation and analysis of the efforts educators are taking to improve instruction and student learning in Iowa High Schools. Dr. White has served as project manager, researcher, and evaluator on numerous projects including the Formative Language Assessment Records for English Language Learners (FLARE) project, the MMSD Mathematics Task Force, NSF’s System-wide Change for all Learners and Educators, the GK-12 Graduate Fellows Program, the Adding Value to the Mathematics and Science Partnerships Evaluations Technical Assistance grant, and the National Institute for Science Education (NISE). Dr. White received her Ph.D. in educational policy studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
