Catherine Dornfeld is a project assistant with Sadhana Puntambekar’s ComPASS project. She is contributing to the production of a digital textbook on photosynthesis, part of the lab’s efforts to create instructional materials to assist school districts in digitizing parts of their curriculum. Dornfeld was awarded a National Science Foundation graduate research fellowship in April 2014.
Catherine attended the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukeee, graduating in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and psychology. After graduating, she served an internship with Dr. Stephen Forrest, assisting with virtual molecular modeling of proteins. She also worked as an educator at the Milwaukee Public Museum. She is now a Ph.D. student in learning sciences, working under Puntambekar’s advisement.
