Goldrick-Rab Named Keynote Speaker for Policy Summit

Sara Goldrick-Rab has been named a keynote speaker for the 10th annual Midwestern Higher Education Compact Policy Summit. The gathering will take place in Milwaukee on Nov. 17-18 and its title is Maximizing Return on Educational Investment: Preserving Access, Promoting Completion, Protecting Quality.

According to its website, the conference “will address efforts by states to support institutional innovation and maximize the return on investment of taxpayer dollars while preserving access, affordability, and quality of student outcomes.”

Goldrick-Rab is a professor of Educational Policy Studies and Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the founding director of the Wisconsin HOPE Lab, a WCER project. She is an expert on college access and completion, affordability and financial aid, reforming access and persistence support for first-generation students, students of color, and economically challenged students.
