Measures of the Enacted Curriculum

The “Surveys of Enacted Curriculum” data collection instruments and reporting system originally developed  with funding in part from an NSF grant provides a web-based data collection and reporting system designed to provide teachers, administrators, researchers and policy-makers with actionable data related to instructional practice and students' opportunity to learn rich academic content. Researchers from WCER work with state and local education agencies around the country, as well as other research institutions to support basic research, program evaluation and school improvement efforts.

Recent developments to the SEC system now offer teachers a tool for managing formative assessment data, and another for examining their own 'personal' alignment to any of the many state, national and international standards and assessments that have been 'content analyzed' using the SEC methodology.
