MMSD Academic Tutoring Partnership Evaluation

Madison Metropolitan School District partners with various community organizations to deliver academic tutoring to students across all grade levels and schools. Partnerships that are considered high-intensity require formal evaluation, to ensure that services are meeting established goals and to take action to improve impact.

During the 2014-2015 school year MMSD is developing a best practice framework to strengthen academic tutoring district-wide to ensure high-quality, systems-aligned delivery of academic tutoring to students. Program evaluation will guide continuous improvement of high-intensity partnerships, and inform development of the best practice framework. The outcome of the project will include the following:

1. Design and implement a rigorous, mixed-method evaluation for select high-intensity community partnerships in MMSD that provide academic tutoring services.

2. Prepare written report and present on evaluation findings to key stakeholders.

3. Provide consultation and capacity-building opportunities to MMSD and community partners.
