Jihye Kam is a (Postdoctoral) Research Associate at the Wisconsin’s Equity and Inclusion Laboratory (Wei Lab). She is working on the Institute for African-American Mentoring in Computing Sciences (iAAMCS) project at the Wei Lab. Jihye completed her PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis with minor in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017. Her research areas are educational leadership, education policy, economics of education, and applied econometrics. Jihye’s methodological research focuses on quantitative methods to estimate causal effects of education policies and practices.
Jihye grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and graduated with a BA and MA in Economics from Seoul National University, an MA in Economics of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an MS in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
