Director of Professional Learning, MSAN
Shahanna McKinney Baldon is a former classroom teacher who has served in educational leadership roles in public school districts and community organizations, including in the roles of Advanced Academic Programs coordinator, Chief Diversity Officer, and Director of Family and Community Engagement for large public school districts. A graduate of the UW Madison School of Education, Shahanna is also a leader in equity education and advocacy work, and has led a number local, regional, and national projects that focus on racial diversity, including in faith community settings.
Since 2016, Shahanna has served as the Director of Professional Learning for the Minority Student Achievement Network (MSAN) project at WCER. In this position, she works to expand the professional learning work of the MSAN consortium, manages project management for the network, and leads the planning for MSAN's two annual national conferences--the MSAN Institute, and the MSAN Student Conference.
