A free, 60-minute webinar will highlight the groundbreaking work of Wisconsin and Minnesota Coalitions for Community Schools.

Join the Region 10 Comprehensive Center (R10CC) for a free 60-minute webinar with expert panelists on May 8 starting at 1 p.m. CT that is titled: “Expanding the Impact of the Community Schools Model—Tools and Resources from Two Statewide Coalitions.”

This webinar will highlight the groundbreaking work of Wisconsin and Minnesota Coalitions for Community Schools. The Wisconsin coalition worked with national and local partners to create a community schools guidebook, and the Minnesota coalition is making progress towards statewide policies and funding. Topics include policy, funding, sustainability, and starting and/or improving community schools. Additional opportunities for discussion and connection will also be shared.

By the end of this webinar, participants will:

  • better understand the various community school models and best practices, with a focus on community schools as an evidence-based strategy to address equity.
  • identify various strategies and supports for funding and sustaining community schools.
  • learn about various ways to support community school policy and advocacy at the district and state levels.
  • recognize and utilize tools for improving and/or starting community schools.
