Anneliese Cannon

Anneliese Cannon, Ph.D. is a researcher and teacher educator with broad and deep interests in the areas of language(s), literacy, and education. In her previous position, Anneliese was an Associate Professor of Education at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah and has been a teacher in K-12 schools in the U.S. and abroad. She has conducted research in the areas of ESL, arts-based qualitative methods, and literacy and brings an interdisciplinary focus to her work. She holds a bachelor’s degree in German from the University of Minnesota; a master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education in Language and Literacy; and a Ph.D. in curriculum and Instruction from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Anneliese is a lifelong learner who has deep curiosity and great respect for the complexity of language, culture and history and how it plays out in classrooms and larger society.
