McKenna Goetz

Evaluator & Researcher

McKenna Goetz is a researcher specializing in education and health policy and holds a Master of Public Affairs. Her work includes collecting and analyzing data, conducting literature reviews and experiments, training others, developing methodologies, identifying programatic and policy solutions, and supporting grant applications and publications. Projects she has worked on include evaluations of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s (DPI) Achievement Gap Reduction program, DPI's Farm to School program, One City Schools, and Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership.

Before joining WEC, McKenna was a Food Assistance Intern at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, where she updated Stata code, conducted research and data analysis, drafted materials, and supported various administrative tasks. During her graduate capstone project with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), she focused on improving dental care access for Wisconsin Medicaid members. In this role, she conducted background research, led the analysis of a medical claims dataset, authored the methods and findings sections of the report, and presented the results to DHS.
