Translating Research from Educational Psychology to Children with Mathematics Difficulty: A Focus on Equivalence
A rich collection of research from educational psychology demonstrates that elementary school students misinterpret the equal sign. In this talk, Sarah Powell will discuss how she translated this research into a series of school-based experiments for children at risk for mathematics disability as well as implications for instruction in general and special education.
