Jennifer Murray

Murray will describe the Madison Education Partnership’s (MEP) Fraction Tutoring Project, which ran from fall 2024 to fall 2025 at a middle school in the Madison Metropolitan School District, and which served as Murray's ITP translational internship. This project offered individual tutoring about fractions for middle school students, provided by trained undergraduate tutors. MEP aimed to study whether and how this tutoring could improve middle school students’ mathematics achievement. Murray will describe the challenges this project faced and discuss lessons learned.
