April Conference to Address Achievement Gap
March 28, 2011
The Minority Student Achievement Association is coordinating a conference for Detroit-area educators to discuss building school-community relationships, strategies for parental engagement, and models for community partnerships. Those convening in Southfield April 14-15 will include Board of Education members, administrators, parents, teachers and community partners. The Minority Student Achievement Network (MSAN) is a national coalition of 25 multiracial, suburban-urban school districts that have come together to study and eliminate achievement gaps that exist in their districts.
