Computer-Interactive Items for Students with Language Challenges
September 19, 2011
Rebecca Kopriva and colleagues are working to increase the accessibility and validity of science assessments for high school students with limited English proficiency. They are developing strategies for test design, administration with accommodations, scoring, and reporting. Student academic achievement will be charted over time, using performance- and technology-based academic assessments. Kopriva leads the conceptual, implementation, and research work so that each partner’s expertise blends with and contributes to the realization of the project goals.
