Personalized learning has become a popular term to describe a number of student-centered, technology-driven learning reforms in K-12 and higher education. Wisconsin has emerged as a leader in organizing personalized learning in schools. Rich Halverson will share the experiences of his research team to describe personalized learning as an emerging school reform strategy, how personalized learning relies upon and grows student agency, and the role that new media technologies play in personalizing learning.
