Support for the Wisconsin DPI’s Educator Effectiveness System

WCER researchers are helping the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction design model teacher and principal evaluation systems for the State. Following an intensive period of design support, Steve Kimball, Brad Carl, and Herb Heneman are helping the State pilot test a teacher and principal evaluation process and a Student Learning Objective (SLO) process. The SLO process will ultimately be included in the overall effectiveness system, along with other outcome measures yet to be developed. In addition to the pilot test, the team is helping develop evaluation approaches for other educators, including associate principals and education specialists. More information is available here.
