Karen Bach
Educator Outreach Specialist
Karen Bach has been a Client Services Specialist in the WIDA Client Services Center since 2017. She handles communication and correspondence from administrators and teachers by providing crucial information about WIDA assessment tools, training, and services. Prior to her current position, she worked for five years with the WIDA Research and Standards Departments in an administrative role arranging travel, managing a purchasing card for travel, coordinating events, projects, and meetings, helping staff create and edit research documents and posters, submitting paperwork per UW and state policies for supplies, reimbursements, and memberships, and more. Karen has over 40 years of experience working in a wide variety of positions. She has worked in administrative positions for several organizations, as well as in the printing and publishing industry for companies as a typesetter/desktop publisher, as owner/operator of a graphic arts and printing business, and in the ad production department for a newspaper. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education (Concentration: Business) from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL, a Business Management Associate degree from Blackhawk College, Janesville, WI, and a Master's Certificate in Project Management from UW-Madison.
