Delis Cuellar Klitzke
Delis Cuéllar, Ph.D., is a research associate in the Research Policy and Evaluation Department at WIDA in the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. Dr. Cuéllar joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015, and conducts research on policies, practices and ideologies affecting childhood bilingualism and the engagement of culturally and linguistically diverse mothers in U.S preschool settings. Dr. Cuéllar graduated with academic distinction from the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education at Arizona State University, where she was a research associate for the National Task Force on Early Childhood Education for Hispanics. Previous to her work at UW-Madison, she was an assitant professor at Humboldt State University in the Department of Child Development and a research associate at the Center on Teaching and Learning at the University of Oregon. Dr. Cuéllar also held a postdoctoral research position at the National Institute for Early Education Research at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Dr. Cuellar’s research has been published in Teachers College Record, Teaching Exceptional Children, The New Educator, Education Review and other sources. She has teaching experience at the preschool, elementary and university levels.
